The
Elementary School Counseling Program provides support and assistance
within regular education to help meet a variety of student needs. The
School Counselor works hand-in-hand with the teachers, other support
staff and parents to maximize each student"s success in the school.
Support Groups:
Students who need help coping with such issues as separation and
divorce, self-esteem, socialization, organization and study skills are
referred to support groups.
Individual Attention:
Students who may need extra support and attention can meet with the
Counselor one to one. The Counselor will provide a safe and caring
environment to focus on individual issues.
Classroom Presentation:
Classroom lessons focus on character education issues, such as; social
skills, conflict resolution, bullying and making friends.
